PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Due to continued expansion, Photonic Products Ltd, (part of the StockerYale group), has vacancies for a Product Development Manager based at our UK Headquarters, Hatfield Broad Oak, near Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for the Product Development Team, liaising with technical sales and the production department.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to; analysing product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs, determining the feasibility of introducing new products as well as producing and maintaining project plans. Providing leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the project. Co-ordinating resources and tasks with other functions and departments. Overseeing the setting up and handover of new products to production.

The ability to lead and motivate teams and communicate at all levels within a business are pre-requisites, as is creating a continuous improvement environment.

Qualified to at least HND/HNC level in Engineering or equivalent experience, the suitable candidate will be able to make an immediate and significant contribution to the further growth of the company.

Prior knowledge or experience with laser products would be beneficial but is not required.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential.
